Who is Ollie and what is a picture of a parrot doing on an educational website? These were the questions first asked when we initially launched this site. So, we will let Ollie explain why he is here.

"You may not know me, but I am your constant companion. I know all there is to know about you - your inner-most secrets, what you think about yourself, no matter what you portray to the outside world and what you think about others and situations you are in.

There is no fooling me. I sit on your shoulder, and see, hear and feel everything happening around you. I whisper in your ears constantly, but no-one else can hear me. Only you. You may not even be aware that I exist, but believe me, I am with you always. I influence all your decisions, and I can help or hinder you.

Who or what am I?

I am known as "Ollie", the parrot. You may have another name for me, but here at Global Options, I am the constant companion of this organisation, and the people within it. Even if you have another name for me, I am with you always.

I will be popping up consistently throughout this site to link you to relevant articles and headings. Very similar to your own voice when something happens to you. Your voice "just pops up", and sends you back to references from your past. You know that voice, the voice inside your head. The one that sorts through your memory for just the right movie to play over and over again.

I choose the movie. It may be an action movie with you as the hero that saves the world. My favourite though, are the horror movies where you replay all the horrific situations that have happened in your past, and where you hear over and over again all the negative comments from people around you. You know the ones I'm talking about. "You'll never amount to anything", "Who are you trying to fool, you're nothing and never will be". I have a huge library stored in your memory of all these sayings from your past. I may choose to play the same ones over and over, or I can mix them up, and give you some variety.

Don't get me wrong. I am not an evil little bird. I only produce the results that you are getting right now in your life, because of what you are focusing on. I need to be trained in order for you to get different outcomes in your life. I am really quite intelligent, and can be trained very easily. The problem is most people are unaware how to train a voice like mine, and they think they are stuck.

I am the master of your destiny, and I can be a great assistant to you. But, I can also be your worst nightmare. Think of any pet you have owned, and when you first bought it home. There were boundaries that were set up, and with constant reminders of the behaviours that were preferred, your pet became a wonderful addition to your family. Or perhaps you know of a pet who became the master of the house? People were afraid of it, it never obeyed commands and you felt miserable everytime you saw it. I can be either of these. The choice is yours.

What would you like me to be in your life? Just remember, you can't get rid of me, no matter how hard you try. You cover one ear, and I pop around to the other ear. I have the ability to make you hear me, no matter what you do. Wouldn't it be good, if the voice you heard from me helped you achieve your dreams rather than held you back?

Whenever you see me pop up on any articles, make sure you click on me. The information I will send you to will be very beneficial. Don't make the mistake thinking I am not important or I'm irrelevant to your outcomes. I am the most important aspect of this web-site.
